Quebec ER hourly archive
The health ministry’s public file is rewritten hourly and keeps only seven days. Anything older than that window exists nowhere else. We have kept every reading since 10 August 2026: 90,831 hourly readings, 120 emergency rooms, 758 hours as of 11 September 2026 05:00, and one more reading every hour.
What one row contains
- facility permit number and name
- hourly timestamp
- functional and occupied stretchers
- occupancy rate exactly as published
- people present and people waiting to be seen
- average length of stay, ambulatory and on a stretcher
- patients past 24 h and past 48 h
Who it is for
Newsrooms checking a claim over a month instead of a screenshot, unions and associations documenting overcrowding, health-services researchers, and establishments that want to read back their own feed.
The price
CA$149 a month per organisation: the full CSV extract, refreshed hourly, plus a stable API key over the same history. CA$400 for a one-time extract of the whole archive, no subscription.
What exists and what does not
Eight CSV extracts already download without paying, from the Where the data comes from page. They cover the last seven days. They are frozen at the hour they were written. The largest is 19,562 rows. Use them to judge the data before anyone talks about money. Paid, the archive goes back to 10 August in full. The extract is rebuilt every hour. There is a stable API key. None of that is built today. This page exists to find out whether to build them. No card is asked for, nothing is charged, and you will be contacted before any money moves.
