Clinic appointments: understanding the game
Every day, Quebec clinics feed their open appointment slots into the province’s central booking system. Few people know it, but a good share of those slots can be booked even if you’re not a patient of the clinic. No family doctor? The GAP (811, option 3) can book you into one. Supercliniques (GMF-R) take everyone. That’s the game, and plenty of people spend a night at the ER without ever hearing about it.
The catch is that Quebec only publishes this data once a week, a few days behind, so nobody can show you live openings. The list below shows which clinics in your region offer a lot of appointments. That’s where a call is worth making first.

The trick: same-day spots go early. Check RVSQ around 7 am, or call the clinic right when it opens. No family doctor? 811 option 3 does the searching for you.
