GAP — Primary Care Access Point

The GAP is the front door if you don’t have a family doctor in Quebec. A nurse assesses your need over the phone and points you to the right resource: doctor, nurse practitioner, pharmacist, physio, or something else.

How to

1. Call 811 and pick option 3, or fill out the web form.
2. Describe your problem to the nurse; they’ll call back if needed.
3. You’ll get offered an appointment, often within 24–72 h.
