No family doctor?

The steps

1
For a test or a visit now: fill in the GAP form online (gap.soinsvirtuels.gouv.qc.ca). Need help? Call 811, option 3 (Monday to Friday 8 a.m. to 8 p.m., weekends and holidays 8 a.m. to 4 p.m.). Someone from the GAP calls you back and can find you an appointment.
2
Get on the waiting list for a family doctor or nurse practitioner: register online at the Guichet d’accès à un médecin de famille (GAMF) or in Carnet santé Québec. You need a valid health card and must be 14 or older (a parent registers younger children).
3
To book or cancel a clinic appointment online, use Rendez-vous santé Québec. It is free with your health card.
4
Some tests do not need a doctor: newborn tests are done at birth, eye exams for under 18 and 65+ are booked directly with an optometrist, and in some regions STBBI tests are booked on Clic Santé.
