The details
Who it’s for
People 65 and over with a Quebec health card get a full eye exam at an optometrist for free.
How often
1 full exam per year. A dilated eye exam is also covered if you are treated for diabetes or have strong myopia (5 dioptres or more).
Cost
Free with the health card at an optometrist who takes part in the public plan. Glasses, retina photos and OCT scans are not covered.
